The Cuban Pygmy-Owl is an endemic bird to the island of Cuba. This small curious bird of prey can be seen perching on limbs during daylight hours. This is somewhat unusual as other small owls tend to spend their daylight hours roosting in cavities of trees. This is done in order to protect them from other larger birds of prey species.
