The Roseate Tern is seen along the northern coastlines of the Atlantic Ocean in the USA right into the province of Nova Scotia. At times, this tern can be confused with the Common Tern and close observation is needed to distinguish them apart. It also breeds on islands in the Caribbean Sea and in some European countries. It is a native bird in certain Caribbean islands including Cuba.
