Ruddy Duck is one of the smaller ducks seen in North America. This duck is a member of the diving ducks and has a preference for smaller bodies of water. It belongs to a group of ducks known as the stiff-tailed ducks, the Masked Duck from Mexico and Central America and the White-headed Duck from Europe are the two others. This duck is seen throughout the Caribbean islands including Cuba.
