The Tree Swallow is one of the few North American swallows that will nest in a man-made birdhouse. These beautiful metallic blue birds can be seen perched on fences or skimming over the surface of water, as they feed on insects. The Eastern Bluebird competes for the same available birdhouses and often times, one will be seen nesting beside the other. This swallow is seen throughout the Caribbean islands and has been seen as a migrant in Cuba.
