Distribution: The Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle) is a sub-species or race of the Yellow-rumped Warbler. There was a time when the Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's) and the Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle) were considered to be two different bird species. This is a hardy warbler and less likely to migrate over long distances, such as other warblers. It is seen mostly in the eastern regions of North America. This warbler spends its winter months in the warmer tropical countries and it has been seen as a migrant in Cuba.
