There are at least six types of hawks seen in Cuba. Broad-winged Hawk, Cuban Black-Hawk, Gundlach's Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Sharp-shinned Hawk and the Swainson's Hawk have been seen throughout areas of Cuba.
Each of these hawk types have adapted and survive in many different habitats. They can be found in conifers, living in wet areas and gliding over fields in search of their prey, to perching on lookouts watching for movement below.
