There are two types of vultures seen in Cuba, the ever expanding Turkey Vulture which is showing up farther north into Canada every year. This bird is seen right across the USA. Then there is the Black Vulture which lives in the southeastern states and into Mexico and out into the Caribbean islands.
The Turkey Vulture is able to find carrion with its eye sight or with its sense of smell, unlike the Black Vulture who is able to find its food only visually.
